Monica leads business risk and insurance at Anthropic, supporting the mission to safely navigate the transition to transformative AI. She’s grateful to work for a company where risk management is treated not as a constraint, but as a core driver for building frontier models and advancing safety research.

 

Prior to Anthropic, Monica led business risk and insurance for Google Cloud, including managing insurance product development and partnerships for Google Cloud’s Risk Protection Program. Monica also served as the Head of Actuarial, Analytics & Systems and the Interim Head of Captives for Alphabet’s Business Risk & Insurance team. She is passionate about driving innovation at the intersection of technology and insurance.

 

With over 17 years of industry experience, her background spans consulting and brokerage, a large commercial carrier, a startup, and corporate risk management at multiple tech companies. Before joining Google, Monica spent a decade working as an actuary, most recently leading the global pricing team at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
